High or Low Maintenance

#1 Postby alicia-w » Thu May 10, 2007 1:04 pm

Are you and/or your spouse or significant other high or low maintenance?

I never thought i was a high maintenance person, but i evaluated myself truthfully and i am. However I am highly efficient too. so while i have quite a regimen for showering, doing my hair and face and getting dressed for work, it only takes me 30 minutes total.

my husband is high maintenance for other reasons.

I was high maintenance when I worked, but John and I have really slowed down a lot. I don't wear makeup unless I go out and just live in shorts and tanks all day. I am really enjoying just loafing around when home. When we go out, it is a different story.

Low maintenance (BTW, that spelling just does not look right!)!

I'm just a basic, plain dressing person. No frills, this is what you get with me.

I never wore eye shadow in high school, my friends were shocked. I would launch into - if God wanted you to have colored eyelids you would have been born with them! LOL

I hate perfume (gives me a headache)

I prefer cleaning my home the simple way - with a few basic cleaners, a real mop you disconnect and run thru the washer. No swiffer jet for me!

What else.....I'm just a generic, plain kinda person! And I like it that way.

(hubby's same way).

I spent 30 years working, dressing up, heels, etc. that now it is great just to live low maintenance for me.

Well, a little less than 30 years.

We're both low maintenance.

My wife is amazingly so, for a woman. She can get up and is ready to go in 15 minutes, including a shower. About the same as me.

However, I do wear eye shadow, but it's not bright. To answer the question, I guess low maintenance. I dress pretty casual most of the time, but it does take me a while to get ready to go. About an hour, if I've already showered. I usually shower at night... can't stand to go to bed dirty and living in Southeast Texas, if you go anywhere, you're gonna sweat! lol

If I concentrate solely on getting myself ready though, I'm sure I could do it in less time, but there are always distractions. I wear contacts, so if there's the slightest problem putting one in, that takes a little more time as well. It only takes me about 10 minutes to do my makeup and I sport a low maintenance hairstyle. I also often wear a ponytail when it's hot out, particularly if I'll be outside a lot.

I can't imagine what I'd look like if I got ready in 15 minutes. Consider yourself a lucky man, gtalum. :)

Low maintence for me, I don't wear make-up and a brush thru the hair takes care of it, I'm ready in about 10 mins. The hubby is high maintence only because I'm his caregiver.

I think I'm in love with your wife! Do you at least rent her out for training other women? My three could use a lesson or twenty :-)
