Gross understatement Jason!!!!    One minute we were watching an everyday thunderstorm and the next we had major CG lightning and hail coming down like a torrential downpour. Hail averaged 1/2" or better for most of the duration. Hopefully the trees protected my vehicles and roof!!!   I have never seen hail like that except in Wichita, Kansas when I was a little kid.

At home. If it was at the office it would be in the garage. :grr: I should be able to do a closer inspection soon as it has gone on N from here.

GR3 is showing storm report of .75" hail in NW Houston piling on ground @ Gessner & Hammerly - reported by "public" - I bet that was you...

These storms mean business - I just moved the vehicle in the garage. I've only had it a month and don't want to to get damaged...

I KNEW it! Yankee, I had a feeling that's where you were. Glad you got out of there and didn't turn into a lightning rod! No rain yet, but as you said, quite the light and sound show.

We just got a brief tropical-like piss-down, and everything is pitch-black. On radar, the Dome is just on the edge of that Blob along I-10.

People often talk about animals knowing something is getting ready to ahppen weather wise. I just remembered our dog was literally freaking out looking for a place to hide just before the hail hit. I have never seen her like that!!!

We are having another storm now, but not nearly like the last!!!! Winds gusting maybe to 25 mph and heavy rain and CG lightning. We've had about 0.60" of rain so far from the two storms.

Don't know how long I'll have power. BIG time electrical storm and the rain is here and blowing. WOW!

In one of our storms last week, the sycamore tree in the yard behind us got hit by lightning. Sounded like the end of the world - I know the dogs thought it was!
