First Seasbreeze Storm for the Upper TX Coast

#1 Postby KatDaddy » Sun May 13, 2007 4:00 pm

Unofficial first day of Summer. Seabreeze storms this afternoon. Hit and miss with lots of thunder. Summer is here. On a side note this morning brought back Rita memories. A light NE breeze with cloudless skies. The only think missing were the power saws cutting plywood. For whatever the reason is was an errie morning weatherwise. Hopefully just an overly concerned feeling with the upcoming season.

I know what you mean. I commented on the seasonal change here along the northern Gulf Coast in a post last night. Of course down here, you don't as much go by the calendar as you do your weather senses. I would say that we still have another week or so before we truly get into the summer season, but its very close. And that means the arly mostly localized hurricane season is very close. I'm referring to the June storms which primarily affect the area from Victoria Tex. to Applachicola Fl.

I tried to pm you Katdaddy, but there apparently are some problems with that service.

Anyway, I did move this from the Talking Tropics forum. That forum is really just for tropical storm activity.
