Severe Storm in New Orleans--Pic

#1 Postby Sean in New Orleans » Mon May 14, 2007 8:54 pm

That time of the year has arrived. "Scattered afternoon and early evening thunderstorms,"......we'll hear that on the local weather in New Orleans through early to mid-September when cool weather will next return to The Big Easy....Here's a pic of a storm today (05/14/2007) just beyond Downtown on the Westbank.

Radar shot of another one of these HUGE boomers this evening....

I second that-- the first pic is amazing! It looks like what we saw Sat. night over here when we came out of a church downtown after a wedding. It was an incredible- and scary- storm! The thunder was so loud it sounded like the church was going to crumble around us.
BTW, please try to blow some of that rain to your East. We have this awful, smoky haze over here and could use some rain to wash it out. It's from the wildfires in FL and the wind is just right for it to be blown over us. It's yucky!
