a lot can happen in a year. you should get your eyes checked again, and if required, get eyeglasses. My son wore glasses for a year or so and never needed them again. they could be tired (try a lubricating eyedrop), stressed, bad light, etc.

the following link is to a site that's sorta yoga for the eyes. i've tried it after days in front of a computer and it helps a lot....

I agree with both above posts. I work on a computer for 8-9 hours a day and my eyes get "tired" if you will. I have annual eye exams and for being 37 I still dont require glasses as of yet, although I expect that will change.

Did this happen all of a sudden or has this been coming on for a while?

You're so bad.

I had a friend who had a sudden vision problem and it turned out to be a medical problem.

I have to wear contacts every day but once you get used to them, it's no big deal at all. It takes me about 1 minute each day to put in and remove at night.

When I started working in accounting and then with computers, I became near sighted. I never had an eye problem when I was younger. That was about the age when I started wearing glasses for driving.

I'm afraid I'm reaching the next step - far sighted and bifocals! I have a hard time focusing on relatively small print that I didn't have a problem with before.

Ditto what the others said Chad. Go to a new doctor and get another exam. You probably need glasses.

Yeah, we know what causes that.

But seriously, Chad, don't mess around with your eyes.

So you're only 26, eh? Man, I feel so old! LOL

You think you got eye problems now? Wait till you hit 40. I don't know if some sort of biological switch gets flipped or something but speaking from personal experience, within weeks of my 40th birthday my eyesight changed quite noticeably. And I've heard many others talk about their eyesight changing at 40.

Seriously though, just to be on the safe side you'd better get your eyes examined again. Sight is a precious gift.

Please get your eyes checked! I am very nearsighted and I had to get glasses and I had to get the trifocals. Took me a while to get used to them. Had to have them ground down a little when I told the doctor it looked like everything was doing the WAVE when I turned my head from side to side. I still have to take them off to read really fine print.

If you take an Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory, quit taking it a couple of weeks before an exam. Some meds can affect your vision.

Do you suffer from allergies? If so and it has just started happening - this is the time of year for it. Get Similisan Allergy drops at the drug store and try those for a couple of weeks to see if they help. These are natural and recommemeded by many opthamologists. If not, then make an appointment with your eye dr. It might just be that as much time as you are spending on the computer per day is finally catching up and you may need some help for those tired eyes for awhile. I worked for an opthamologist a few years back.

You might consider seeing an ophthalmologist instead of an optometrist. You probably also need to shave your knuckles.
