Congrats Jordin...

Otherwise *yawn* Who didn't expect her to win? Way too much stupid filler also...

Glad it's over. I don't know if I'll devote as much time into it next season.

Funny thing, I've NEVER watched AI until last night but of course Jordin is a Arizona HOMEGIRL 8-)

I know...there was TOO much FLUFF last night! What was UP with Bette Midler? She STUNK last night....too many "Margaritas" possibly?

FOX
American Idol (two-hour finale)
- 29.470 million viewers
- 17.2/28 HH
- 11.1/30 A18-49

Down about 15% from last year, but still, almost 30 million is easily still the #1 show.

The first half of "American Idol" drew a 15.3/26 for FOX at 8 p.m. A repeat of "NCIS" put CBS in second with a 5.7/10. The clip show "Lost: The Answers," 3.8/6, was third for ABC, beating out a repeat of NBC's "Saturday Night Live in the '90s" documentary. The CW went with a "One Tree Hill" rerun.

"Idol" increased to 19.1/30 in its second hour as Jordin Sparks was crowned this year's champ. ABC moved up to second with the "Lost" season finale, 7.3/11. A "Criminal Minds" rerun was third for CBS, while NBC's movie drew a 2.9/5 for the hour. A second "One Tree Hill" aired on The CW.

Incredible...

The last 9 minutes of "Idol" averaged 39.2 million viewers and a 15.2 demo (10:00-10:09)

:shocked!:

What was that about a ratings slide?

I guess he could have been like Borat or Larry the Cable Guy -- a totally made-up character. Doesn't matter thought -- he still couldn't sing!

Congratulations Jordan!

I LOVED her duet with Ruben. They really did kind of "channel" Tammy Terrell and Marvin Gaye with "You're All I Need".

I feel like starting another debate here.. lol.. Maybe even do a poll for "Best Idol" ever {with a mods approval of course}

This is my ranking of the 6 Idols so far..

1. Kelly Clarkson 2. Carrie Underwood 3. Taylor Hicks 4. Jordin Sparks 5. Fantasia Barrino 6. Ruben Studdard

Ruben is a distant 6th in my book too.. I did NOT like him.. Clay should have won.. I also think Diana DeGarmo was better than Fantasia..
