House, M.D.
It bothers me that there isn't a thread for the best primetime show currently in production, so I decided to fix the problem.
Anyone else here appreciate the great writing and acting in this show?

I watch House, NCIS, CSI, Criminal Minds and Monk. I love House in general when they stay with the basic formula of the show. Didn't care for the episodes where the big CEO was wanting to fire House and didn't care for the episodes with the Detective who was trying to get House arrested for a narcotics violation.

YES...I LOVE that show TOO and ALL of the ones you've mentioned

Cookiely...the episode where House was in a violation of narcotics, I LOVED it BECAUSE...it's SO true what he was going through!! I am on a heavy dose of narcotics for chronic pain and the HOOPS I have to go through, just like House, are REAL

BTW, why does he walk with a cane?
He previously developed a blood clot in his leg that ultimately led to the chronic pain and partially paralyzed leg that is an important subplot for the series.
House is perennially cranky due to his condition. But, he's also a hell of doctor. He has a gift for diagnosing even the most obscure maladies of the human form.

Also, it was misdiagnosed by the physician, and led to House losing muscle in his thigh. Also, they recommended that House have the leg removed because of the toxins which would leave him in chronic pain (off the charts) but he refused. When he was unconscious the wife and Cuddy decided to do partial surgery in the hope of saving the leg but it left him with a limp and the pain. Its one reason he divorced his wife.

I didn't know that! I need to get my greedy hands on the DVD sets of House.

It didn't air this week, so you didn't miss one then. The season finale is next week.
Ah, good....hubby and I were out running errands so I didn't check the listings. Will catch the one next week though

That flashback was a dream. He saw the face of someone in that dream that helped in some way. I don't remember the details.
Yup, it was a flashback. The guy he saw ended up being his next patient. I don't remember what the patient's situation was, but it ended up that he had kissed Cuddy at a party, which is where House recognized him from. I live for Tuesday nights! I'll admit I have quite a big crush on House and am totally addicted to the show!
