MILES...520 KM...SOUTHWEST OF TAMPA FLORIDA AND ABOUT 235 MILES...
375 KM...WEST OF KEY WEST FLORIDA.

BARRY HAS BEEN MEANDERING DURING THE PAST COUPLE OF HOURS BUT IS
EXPECTED TO RESUME A GENERAL NORTHWARD MOTION NEAR 12 MPH...19
KM/HR TONIGHT. A GRADUAL TURN TO THE NORTH-NORTHEAST WITH AN
INCREASE IN FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

DATA FROM A RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT INDICATE THAT THE MAXIMUM
SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE INCREASED TO NEAR 50 MPH...80 KM/HR...WITH
HIGHER GUSTS. NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN STRENGTH IS ANTICIPATED
BEFORE BARRY REACHES THE COAST.

TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 90 MILES...150 KM
MAINLY TO THE NORTH AND EAST OF THE CENTER.

MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE REPORTED BY A RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT WAS
997 MB...29.44 INCHES.

COASTAL STORM SURGE FLOODING OF UP TO 3 TO 5 FEET ABOVE NORMAL TIDE
LEVELS...ALONG WITH LARGE AND DANGEROUS BATTERING WAVES...ARE
POSSIBLE IN THE WARNING AREA NEAR AND TO THE RIGHT OF WHERE THE
CENTER OF BARRY MAKES LANDFALL.

BARRY IS EXPECTED TO PRODUCE TOTAL RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6
INCHES OVER THE FLORIDA KEYS AND PENINSULA INTO SOUTHEASTERN
GEORGIA WITH POSSIBLE ISOLATED MAXIMUM AMOUNTS OF 10 INCHES.

boca rain and winds gusty like they have been for last 7 days here

rain up to an INCH has no fallen in my CUP outside YEA RAIN

looks like more severe cells popping up as this thing meanders closer esp. in KEYS

It was windy officially 26 mph sustained earlier
here...though thank GOODNESS for the rain!

I hope that we do not get wind damage as
that would be a Bad thing.

you probably will not have any serious wind damage issues. However, 40mph+ gusts will likely still down a few palm frawns, small branches/twigs, and possibly cause a few isolated power outages. Your main issues though will likely be from rainfall and coastal flooding.

There's a steady moderate rain here now with just a little wind. Sounds mighty good. I suspect our area will be subject to some flooding overnight and Sat. Just hope tornadoes stay away and the power stays on.

So much for the dry slot.. Heavier rain on raday is moving into the SWFL coast. 8-) Some GR3 rotation in the cells in South Florida..

yup the tides could rise late tonight...might cause some street flooding around
low lying coastal areas i expect...

Been rainy all day here in Brandon/Valrico (just east of Tampa). As others have said, I can almost hear the sigh of relief from my lawn :D No real wind to speak of but the rain is coming down harder by the hour it seems.
