Chad,does the 34 mph winds include the 23 mph forward speed?..I'm glad I made my daughter stay in Miami instead of driving back to Gainesville!!

You do NOT add forward speed to the max sustained wind given by NHC advisories. Forward motion is already taken into consideration.
