Weather Channel to kick off Hurricane week from Biloxi Beach
Got a call from the Weather Channel earlier this week... At the moment they are planning to broadcast live weather segments off my front porch on the beach in Biloxi Monday morning as part of their Hurricane Week Special. They said Jim Cantore would be doing the segments. Not exactly sure of the broadcast times but I think they are planning to do at least 3 live feeds sometime between 6:30 and 9:30 in the morning of June 4th...
However, if something were to develop in the GOM this weekend and head towards FL I'm sure that would preclude them from coming to Biloxi...
Regardless, I hope its the only time Cantore comes to Biloxi this year... if he shows up ...

O Town, I think they were just doing a promo on the upcoming hurricane week special... I am still expecting them to broadcast with Cantore early Monday morning from my porch... with the interview that they did with me sometime Monday night... I didn't see the promo as I was in Destin celebrating my son's bachelor party weekend but my wife called me to tell me she saw it as she was channel surfing... and I had to come back early as I just couldn't hang with the 24 year olds... I was ready to go to sleep and they were just ready to go out...

LOL, I can't hang the way I used to either Frank. Those days were fun while they lasted, but kinda glad they are over.
Okay so I will be looking for you on Monday then. That is so cool that it looks like it is going to pan out. I am excited for you guys. Being one of the first to rebuild there you have made the news so much you guys are becoming pros at it. ha ha. But Im sure its encouraging for others to see you guys building back and great for the rest of America to see as well.

Been watching the last 20-30minutes. Cantore was just talking about the tree sculpture guy and pointing at what I think to be your water oak Frank in your front yard. Sure looks like your property. Will keep watching to see if they do an interview with ya. So no KKs for TWC? He he, I don't blame you. 5am is awful early. Let us know how it went.
BTW we have a tree sculpture guy who did the same for some trees around here after Charley. There is one down the road at this park that is of about 4-5 dophins, big dolphins, that tree must have been enormous. I should take some pics of it, its absolutley amazing work.

thanks Southerngale... I thought the WC did a wonderful job with the presentation of the video... it was a fitting conclusion to the past two years of what's been going on with my situation... not much more need to be said and now I get to move on with my life... and try to be as normal as normal can be on the MS Gulf Coast
thanks to all my friends at Storm2k and their wonderful support...

Hi Kristi... the living quarters is finished... waiting on our final three pieces of furniture for the great room... we still need to get some porch furnature.... we're looking...
they came and got the FEMA trailer today... I got my final house inspection and Cert of Occupancy on Friday, and I put AC in the doggie condo downstairs today... which is a big upgrade from the FEMA trailer for the dogs... LIFE IS GOOD...
I will probably take a month or so off to celebrate then I'll start working on the cosmetics of my downstairs... decorating the pilings, additional storage building, garage.. but nothing need to be done anytime soon
BTW, the associate press did another story, as a follow up to one they did a year ago on my house progress, this past Friday.. not sure when its going to air, probably sometime during the week of the two year anniversity of Katrina... after I get my front stairs painted I am going to post a pix on the web page... having Jim Cantore and the WC at my house for a day was pretty awesome...
thanks for your interest...
