Einstein's Brain

She awaits.
Warm tropical seas in union with
Quiet,
Rising vapors.
Smell the rain,
Showers and squalls without lightning.
She offers herself to you.
Become intimate.
Know her.
All of her is revealed
Out of our bellies
She pours forth
Alive,
Giving of self
Answers are here.
Now is the accepted time.

But many refuse.
We have forgotten her.
Looking for signs and models
With which to read her,
Fearfully hoping we might know of her
In this way, confined to prisons, to formulas,
We worship Ukmet,
That golden calf of the new millenium.
Landsea and Gray,
Frank and Mayfield,
Gather there.
Newton, even Einstein's brain
In a lab.
High priests
Between you and me.
Blind, yet preventing others
From sensing the real presence.

Yet she is here.
In June
Without clamor,
She moves
And is herself arising, perceptible,
Yet many say "Look she is here,
No over there".
False prophets!
By August all will see.
Rest from your labors,
Do not be afraid
And she will come to you.
First Chantal
Then Humberto.
Wait for them.
Chantal,
And Humberto.
Wait and see.

hmmmm....another mysterious Chantal poem. I see you mentioned Humberto too, I must wonder. Are you expecting the worst?

Great stuff, BB!

Just one little housekeeping note ... I think this is fine to post here when it's quiet like this, but when things start to pick up it's better to post things like this in the Off Topic forum.

No problem. I like to talk tropics as much as anyone in here. At that time, I won't let poetry get in the way of an active board. One other thought. Right now, I believe that it only "appears" to be quiet, so to speak. I think that Chantal is very near now. She's becoming more tangible to me as I write this. As the poem implied, I don't believe she will be found by searching models or worshipping before the statue of Ukmet. Yet even though very quiet, she is already coming into form. She is beautiful. To me she represents the real beginning of the hurricane season in all its fullness (whereas Andrea and Barry were more like appetizers). Chantal's arrival in full, which I think may occur next week, will bring us into the full presence of the goddess. As for Humberto, mighty and strong, he will represent the goddess in her prime, with pure power and perhaps terror. I agree. Fewer poems as we move into the heart of the season.

BB,

You are really kind of a spooky type................creepy and intriguing even. Just where do you think Chantal will raise her beauty?

Don't know if it was intentional or not, but one does sense some Biblical overtones in his poem.....

Back to prose. I'm a little surprised that some of you have asked me where I believe that Chantal will appear. I did make a post early Mon. morning saying I was looking for tropical develoment in the West-Central Gulf next week (between June 13th and June 16th). And so I wait.

LOL, I was just testing you :)

Actually, I knew you made that post, I had just forgot................and also wanted to see if you changed your mind because I really, really don't want the central GOM development to pan out...........

It's not going to be so poetic when I have to wait hours in line at the gas station, my lights are out, my fence is blown down (again), there are huge piles of hurricane debri everywhere, it's hot and sticky all night and my kids are out of school for 7-10-14 days!! So I hope Chantal, Humberto and all the rest of them hurricanes live only in your head :)

Very good post. Rainydaze do you realize that your post has within it the seed of a good poem? This is what I mean about not recognizing our own potentials and relying instead on the High Priest-Doctor Steve Lyons.

Hot and sticky nights
Darker than I ever thought.
What good is this cell phone now?
Debris waiting for months,
If not years.
A fallen tower, a school without a roof,
Revealing crime, corrupt contractors,
Twenty dollar bags of ice.
The slabs on the coast.
Washed away, what was it?
Within our peaceful climate were
Spirits not understood.
Let us understand our own spirits
Receiving and then passing along
What never truly belonged to us.

If I had to add one:
I think Gabrielle will be a very bad storm...
In addition to Humberto

But this is just a guess of mine, I have no
reasons to support it...

Interestingly enough, a psychic that I am acquainted with points
to Humberto being a potent storm...

This psychic also foresaw the name of "katrina" 05 and "charley" 04,
basically he foresees names of some tropical cyclones that are
very devastating.

My psychic aquaintance wrote many poems like yours BB.

But you use meteorological reasoning in your predictions,
which make them VERY, very interesting.

I love reading your poems, because they remind me of
dimensions of psychic thought, especially with regards to my
psychic acquiantance friend.
