Yesterday's high temp was 83F and now they say a snowstorm will hit tonight and I just turned off the furnace a few days ago. This has been a really weird June so far. Anyway since we're in drought, a bit of snow could do us good. The upcoming fire season does not look good.
Anyway, good luck out there and may Mother Nature treat you well.
83 degrees yesterday and snow tonight?

That happened here in march. It was 80 degrees on wednesday, and it snowed/sleeted on friday.
Yeah, I guess it's not that rare, but still feels weird whenever it happens. In Colorado once in September (1989?) there was an official high of 90 and a few inches of snow overnight and the next morning. When we were in Utah in September 2000 it went 100 to snow in three days.
Still feels weird. Anyway we only got a skiff last night, but the mountains got a foot.

While I was in Pheonix in the middle of March.. the weather here (Pittsburgh) went through all seasons. We had temps as high as 75 one day to snow and temps in the teens withing a few days. I came home to scrape 4 inches of snow and ice off my car and temps around 17. I didn't have a coat with me since I was in upper 80s for the majority of the week.

Moosonee, Ontario (link),(on the southern shore of James Bay, an extension of Hudson Bay) reached 95F, 35C last Thursday.Cyclenall wrote:This June has very strange indeed so far. We got a mini heatwave basically up here with tropical like weather and then a sharp cold-snap that came out of nowhere and gave us very low temps. North Bay Ontario got snow (a few cms) when it was most likely up in the 30s (C) just days ago.

That's why I attached a link.
