We haven't had any significant rain here in Angleton, Tx this week. We did have about 6 inches on Memorial Day the prevoius week though, all in about a 3-4 hour period. The nice thing about today though is it came close enough to us before moving out in the gulf that it brought in enough cloud cover to hold the temps down. Pretty nice when it's 74 degrees at 3:30 pm.

About 20 minutes ago it got really windy here for a few minutes. I wasn't sure the exact speeds, but when I just now checked it looks like NW Harris county was getting gusts to 35mph. I sure didn't expect that today...

Hooks airport 12pm update = S 15 G 35 MPH

The air is so thick here you can hardly breathe outside. It's 89° out there with a heat index of 98°. I think i like the celcius temp better...32°

Does this seem early in the season or have I just forgotten what other early Junes are like?

I think it's pretty normal. We just had a mild spring for the most part, so it's like BAM!

Suprise! Surprise! We just got blasted from a storm that came from the northeast. Lots of cg lightning, winds whipping my trees around (on the west side of my house no less!), heavy rain. I was trying to check for hail but i couldn't see out of my windows because of water on the panes.

111? The St. petersberg station report on the NWS page only has a heat index of 99 right now for you guys with an air temperature of 88-degrees. The only way your heat index would be 111 is if you happened to live somewhere that was 97 or 98-degrees right now...which I highly doubt since a difference of 10-degrees within one city limit wouldn't sound accurate. Is your thermometer kept in the sun or on a hot surface?

If you're on Windows, hold down the Alt key and type 0 1 7 6.

And it sounds like you're getting that from a PWS like mine . . . rarely accurate, otherwise I would have way too many 10% humidity days around here . . .

I dont live in downtown st. pete, nor do I live in St. Pete limits. I live in a smaller city called Kenneth City which is usually a few degrees higher than St. Pete on an average summer day. Neithe one of those codes workr.

I just got electricity back. It was down for about 2 1/2 hours after a strong thunderstorm came through. Heavy rain, lots of thunder and lightning, and very windy! The power went out shortly after the storm started. I don't know if the wind blew limbs or something into the lines or if a transformer blew, but it sure was hot for a while. I've got a nice lake in my yard now and I really need to get my roof fixed. I walked into a nice puddle in my bathroom.... again .... and then put a giant bowl down to catch the rest of it.

I'm getting an impressive storm here. Plenty of lightning, gusty winds, & heavy rain. We also had one lightning bolt strike just across the street - it was very loud! It's a very isolated cell but it dumped right on top of me! Quite an exciting & unexpected storm this PM.
