I'm just wondering, how do you actually confirm that? How does the admin know for sure if the user is really a pro met or not?

I hate to take this off on a tangent, but typically the member will have to PM the admin with the crudentials.

Yeah, but before my computer basically all but crashed and I lost all I had... It was a lot. Anyway, I export my bookmarks now and have them saved on mail and a file storage site, so I don't have to deal with finding them all ever again.

There's a cool option in Firefox to export your favorites as an HTML file. Then you can upload that HTML to Geocities, Fileden, or any other file uploader/hosting service.

That's obvious, I was wondering how the admin knows for sure (I could link my user account to any met with information on the internet).

You can do the same with Netscape or IE. Just export your bookmarks as an HTML file and upload them to your ISP's web server (or any web server). That way, your bookmarks are accessible from any PC.
