its hard to say since there is not that much storm activity near the center...its going to drift thats for sure .. during the nexr few hours.. before some general motion starts

I know its just very hard to tell but I was looking at the center and saw the word Jacksonville there and saw it inching closer to the word. I know its wierd.

It looks south or just west of south, at any rate that may put it back over land very shortly so, imo this probobly wont amount to anything until it reaches those very warm gulf waters, however there may be entirely different synoptics over there in 24 hours. it just needed a drift to the east about 50 more miles and than we would have woke up to a more interesting scenario. oh well only time will tell, at least im getting rain from it. ..still a very impressive radar signature for something that just emerged over water.

i still think your seeing that rain band .. moving.. there is almost nothing near the center .. to make accurate assessment.. i need to see some real motion .. but it could be.. im just going to wait

If it is moving to the south or sw its just a drift and it could easily drift in the other direction. there isnt anything as far as i can see in the wv loop that will give this a direction as of yet. well im going to bed soon so talk to you guys tomorrow.

AD, with all the other features involved in this scenario, do you think this system will make it to the GOM with enough umph to revive itself & restart(I know, we have to play the wait and see game)?

actually upon one more glance before bed i think it could be trying to slip under that small high over georgia, and that would steer it southwest back across north florida, could be across and in the gulf by mid-morning or early afternoon tomorrow. just my last minute opinion.

That's what the model consensus was saying earlier was supposed to happen!

Bad news, not ONE model is foreseeing any development out of this from the latest run, not even the CMC.

My expectations for development thus have decreased.

it is also to close to land right now

at 6am the radar signature was over the NE part of jacksonville with at least a third of the tight center which is represented decently on radar on shore.

This looks like just a weak frontal wave. It should head out to sea to the northeast. Development appears unlikely.

Actually it's a weak low pressure system and its progged to retrograde toward the southwest over the peninsula.
