I can hardly believe we went from parching drought one year to excessive rainfall the next .It seems to be an either,or situation with Texas. I have never witnessed this much rainfall in a season and I have lived here for 7 years.Bracing for whatever comes next week.

It's been feast or famine for sure. I feel for those affected by the flooding, but you won't hear(or read) me complaining about the rain we're seeing. I know all too well that it could change and go the other way quickly. Hopefully all this rain and green vegetation means a below normal temperate summer. By this time last year, the only reason I had to cut my grass was to make sure the gas didn't gum up in the carburetor.

I had to literally mow my lawn in between storms on Wednesday.Its hard to keep up

WFAA-TV (ABC) said the same thing about the flooding situation. The rain should be much lighter by next Friday according to the NWS. Until Tuesday, we'll enjoy most of the weekend and from Monday on, we'll see how the forecasts play out. Of course where I'm at, we're not complaining about the rain, considering we're living in a neighborhood with hills, but I do feel sorry for the folks in Southern Irving and other flood-proned areas.

I watched WFAA news this morning and the weather forecaster mentioned this is the 8th wettest year on record for Dallas since record keeping began in 1896.I imagine they will kove up a few spots before the year is over Crossing my fingers that major flooding does not occur next week,but I guess we will have a better handle on the forecast by Monday.It could be a disasterous week for N.Texas,and parts southward

The atmosphere is juiced right now in my town.Its 80 degrees,humidity 86 %,and a dew point of 74 degrees. It really hits your face when you step outside from an AC environment.

Last night has been a hectic night for residents in Wise County where a TORNADO WARNING was issued a little before Midnight. At least 1 home was destroyed after their roof was blown off and 10 others were damaged by straight-line winds, but no injuries were reported. FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS were issued for Montague and Cooke Counties for minor street flooding in the town of Valley View. Residents in Gainesville expected the worst to happen again, and luckily it didn't, but all that can change as an area of showers and thunderstorms continue to move along and west of the I-35 corridor. These storms are located in and along Meridian, Cleburne, Fort Worth, Weatherford, Stephenville, Granbury and Glen Rose. More flood warnings may be issued throughout the day.

Unbelievable weather we've been having since the start of spring According to my local forecast,we have a 50% chance of rain thru Sunday. Any long range models to indicate when this rain will end in Texas?

Last night has been a hectic night for many of us North Texans. A large line of showers and thunderstorms developed and swept through the region. One storm in Johnson and Ellis County has prompted TORNADO WARNINGS for those counties after rotation was detected on Doppler Radar. Funnel clouds were also reported by law enforcememnts and trained spotters. A teen in Garland has become another casualty to flooding after falling in the raging waters in Duck Creek. And in Hood County, water up to 8 ft. tall surged when Robinson Creek spilled above flood stage in Granbury, forcing a Judge to declare northern Hood County a Disaster Area. A dozen people were trapped or rescued overall.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for all of North Texas until Noon CDT Thursday for the entire North Texas region, but more than likely, it will be extended through Saturday due to the fact the upper level disturbance is still lingering over TX and Oklahoma. Hopefully, the rain will taper off by the 4th of July.

According to the lastest Climatic Summary, DFW Int'l has gotten 2.54 in. of rain, shattering the 1928 record of 2.31 in. This leaves the monthly total of 9.07 in. and the annual total of 30.05 in. Almost 11.5 in. above normal.
