We have set numerous record high temps here in SW florida at least in recent days. The rainy season has not been consitant and in some cases non-existant. Well today we have fires all over and towering cumulus all over. It looks very weird outside and the fires have been substantial. Hopefully the rain starts falling as forecasted..we continue to burn down here. Lake Okeechobee is still under 9' or 3-4' below normal. With June almost over that is not good.

Well here it is almost 2 weeks later and well into July we still have fires.. There was a pretty good sized pyrocumulus cloud right out my window yesterday. While there have been some flooding rains in the state we are still well behind in my neighborhood. Even with the rains Lake O is still 3' behind but has finally risen to 9' as of yesterday. The forecast this week is below precip chances and above temps unfortunately.
