Looks like another tropical wave is developing ESE of Barbados moving WNW this might be the next player to talk about.

There alot of areas with 40kt windshear across caribbean along with some african dust which will most likely keep anything coming through in check.

Areas of the african coast are closed for business with more significant dust in that area. Also want to mention things look to get quite favorable across the SW caribbean during this upcoming weekend.

Perhaps, but look at those cirrus streaks in the northwest Caribbean - shear is still very strong in many areas of the tropics...

The area looks interesting but TPC has not classified this area as a tropical wave.

I'll say. The dust is so thick it's even visible over that area:

Not the most favorable enviroment in front of this wave but still looks rather interesting and conditions could improve for it once it gets into the western caribbean.

It has that curved appearance on visible and IR that I look for to determine if something is interesting or not. Check it out.

It has the curve off to the north east Generator, time and time again we have seen these areas flare up only to get pulled apart and this one will be no exception, admittedly the African train is underway and the battle is on across the Atlantic but its a no go for formation yet, the all important ingredients are not there yet.

In spite of the dust, in spite of the climatology, I think this one has some potential.

Relative humidity at Grantley Adams International Airport was 100% at 4:00 p.m. That's pretty unusual.

Otherwise nothing here seems to be out of the ordinary.

Too much SW shear, too fast moving;winds always from the ESE or SE in Guadeloupe(no definite change in the wind direction);humidity at 63%....Little chance before reaching the island's chain.
After that???

After that. I have been showing a bit of interest in this area today. I don't think it will do anything right away, but if it can make it to the central or western Caribbean intact...who knows?

Come to think of it, I predicted western Caribbean, early July, for the next one. Come on wave, don't let me down!

This is the Wave which I first mentioned in a thread entitled "Relative to June 25--Wave looing goo". It is in fact approaching Barbados, and not South America, as I forecast at that time. However, I admit, it doesn't appear to be a developing system right now. We can talk about it hear or in the old thread, doesn't matter to me.

Not trying to sound like a broken record here, but this has no chance under 30-40kts of shear. Once shear lessens to a reasonable level in about 6 weeks then things will get cranking.
