Sunspot 961 B-class solar flares

#1 Postby Meso » Thu Jun 28, 2007 4:52 am

Not sure how many people follow space weather. But Sunspot 961 become a little bit active.Nothing to worry about. But still interesting none-the-less.

Suddenly, sunspot 961 is crackling with solar flares. They are minor B-class explosions, amounting to no more than a few million hydrogen bombs, but still exciting to watch through solar telescopes.

I follow Solar activity on a daily basis but after over 50 years of doing so, B-class flares don't excite me much.
