Al Gore has been talking about climate change for a long time - way before it was politically savvy to do so. It isn't some agenda he came up with recently. If you go to the websites of any of the major scientific institutions relating to weather or the oceans you will find that they are all very concerned about global warming. Most of the money being pumped into global warming is money from the oil and gas industry who are trying to promote the idea that man-made global warming is false. One could argue that the only thing keeping the argument against man-made global warming alive is this continued funding from the oil and gas industry. It is very similar to the time period when big tobacco was funding research and paying scientists to say cigarettes were not harmful.
