Jen & Lisa...your bear creek dome has nothing on the lafayette parish dome. The rain starts at the northern parish line, redevelop on the eastern parish line. Lafayette parish is outlined by rain and nothing going on within the parish.

Actually, the Bear Creek Dome failed this morning. That thin little line going thru Houston just dumped a good 1.5" on us, and it's getting darker and grumbling again. We dodged yesterday's rains so I guess it's our turn now.

Sure looks like it's trying yankee. I can't believe this crap has held on for so long. Have you called the church to ask about borrowing/ renting tables and chairs? Otherwise, let your fingers do the walking and find a party rental service to do it for you. If I had any, I'd gladly let you use 'em. As it is, when we have large gatherings we have to do the borrow routine from the neighbors too.

Are you still getting rained on? It's been hanging a few blocks to our north now for about an hour now. Crossing my fingers!

We're getting a WHOLE lot of training here in north Louisiana (Ruston). We've had storm after storm and several inches of rain.

Unbelievable how fast that radar blew up from Laredo all the way through Louisiana today. I'm not liking the way those reds are filling in to the SW of Houston either. Lots of training happening to my inexperienced eye....

Have a look at the SW (59) Freeway corridor. Talk about some nasty training! It's been lifting north slowly all day, and it appears the southward moving broken line will merge right over our heads. Frankly, today is the first time in this entire event that I've been really concerned about flooding here. We've dodged the major bullets for a couple of weeks and not experienced the training that's been happening today. Crossing fingers, toes, eyes...

Here in the North LA, we've been getting killer training since yesterday. It looks like we're about to get a break for a little while though, looking on the radar. Then again, we got all of what is comming out of texas heading here too.

Lisa, I can understand you're freaking right now, but remember this: no amount of rain will stop the wedding. THAT's what you need to focus on right now. Yeah, it may be a soggier ceremony than you envisioned, but it will happen. What's more important? The comfort of your guests, or the wedding itself? Now, take some deep cleansing breaths, and think about the happiness of the occasion - you and your husband's.

Man, it is BLACK here under the Dome. Lots of thunder rolling around but only moderate rain at the moment. At least I had enough of a break to clear out some of the drainage areas that were full of leaves and sticks. Please... NO TRAINING!!

Looks like Houston's atmosphere is stabilized for the time being. However, with several more hours of daylight, does anyone think we might get more development before sundown? Looks like the activity isn't even thinking about stopping from San Antonio down to the coast, with the area around Alice, TX really getting pounded...

Thank goodness for that!!! There were still a lot of stupid drivers on my way home!!!! My usual lament is "people it just isn't that difficult!!!"

Not sure how much rain we had at the office this afternoon, but it came down in buckets!! Nearest weatherbug was at 2.7" when I checked around 3:30. Here at the house we have had 2.73" today. That brings us to just about 20" in the last month!!!
