Well, last night, some of us were caught off guard by a sudden development of storms. a Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued for areas north and east of the immediate DFW metroplex as a line of severe thunderstorms pushed South to southeast. A small complex of storms that was predicted to move through the DFW area fell apart with the loss of daytime heating. Will we expect the same thing as last night? Only time will tell.

Another day, another round of thunderstorms that has developed along a strong upper-level disturbance. The storms that were mainly on the Red River neighborhood briefly became severe, but has caused some minor flooding. The storms went as far south as along the Garland and Greenville line before the storms disentigrated from the loss of daytime heating.
Summer rains, you can never predict them.
Meanwhile, today, we'll see partly cloudy skies with (more) isolated thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 90s with heat index levels at 105. Although no Heat Advisory is issued, we should take extra caution to avoid getting sunburned, dehydrated, and/or a heat stroke.

A COLD FRONT is suppose to sweep down over Texas by late this evening, giving everyone in North Texas a good shot of rain thru Friday morning. As the FOX weatherman stated this morning, "this is the summer that never was and will never be" We may set records for most rainfall in a summer .I'm getting bleeping sick of the rain.I wish a drought would head our way

This seems to be the region of extremes. One summer we're extremely dry, and the next, we're extremely wet.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the Northern 2/3rds of North Texas, including Collin, Cooke, Denton, Fannin, Grayson, Jack, Montague, Wise, and Young Counties until 7:00AM CDT Saturday.

Today, the rain has come back...with a vengeance. A large line of thunderstorms is sinking south through the Red River areas in the next hour or so, and after 1:00PM, these storms will be more widespread. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for areas north of a Mineral Wells, DFW, and Emory line until Saturday Morning. More than likely, it will be extended and enlarged later today. The rain should mostly taper off by Saturday afterniin, but we're not taking the thunderstorms out of the forecast just yet...at least not 'til Thursday.

Today through Sunday afternoon, all of North Texas has a chance of isolated thunderstorms, but the greatest chances will happen along a Bonham, East of Dallas, and Waco line. Isolated areas of 1-3 in. of rain are possible along with localized flooding. As for the rest of us, we're gonna soak in the sun.

So far for the past week, the weather has been kind to the North Texas region with temperatures holding steady in the 90s, however, isolated thunderstorms will be in the forecast from Tuesday on. Still no 100*F reading yet, but summer isn't over with. Those who are on vacation in this region, enjoy the nice weather!

The summer season continues as temperatures hold steady in the average highs and lows. The skies turned Mostly Cloudy for a few hours yesterday, but for the most part, it was a nice day for a picnic, a swim, a jog, etc.

So far, this has ben an excellent summer week with temperatures holding in the mid 90s during the day with Mostly Clear to Partly Cloudy skies, however, during the early evening hours, a thunderstorm developed in the southern areas of Dallas and Tarrant Counties. That storm quickly disipated. We will expect more of the same as a ridge of high pressure settles in the region.

Another day of sunshine is in store for North Texas, but not before we have a chance of thunderstorms for the region, some of which may contain heavy rainfall (the last thing any of us wanna hear after we're doing so good this week...weather wise). Rain chances will decrease throughout the weekend with highs rising back into the 90s.

So far, this has been a great "Harry Potter" day in North Texas, especially for those who are still waiting to get their copies of "The Deathly Hallows". But, it seems we have a chance of thunderstorms (the last thing we wanna hear, I know), but more than likely the storms will be south of DFW.

We had ourselves a nice weekend...despite a couple of surprise storms that formed in North Texas. The heaviest activity took place in Northwest Dallas and Collin Counties where over 1.5 in. of rain fell. We're gonna see some more isolated thunderstorms today, then it all calms down until Friday.

Last night, we had some storms developing along and west of a Gainesville, DFW, Meridian line. None of the storms struck the immediate metroplex, but those in Bosque, Hill, Parker, and Tarrant Counties were experiencing flooding problems. Our rain chances will increase this weekend as another upper level disturbance makes its move into North Texas.

So far, this has been a beautiful week with skies remaining Mostly Sunny to Partly Cloudy, but all can change from Thursday on as an upper level disturbance moves into the North Texas region, bringing anywhere from isolated to scattered thunderstorms.
