NW Carrib. the area to watch...

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

NW Carrib. the area to watch...

#1 Postby caneman » Wed Jul 25, 2007 4:35 am

Initiallly I thought the BOC. However, looking at the NW CArrib. this may be the area. A ship in the aea has reported fairly low pressure as tailgater had mentioned. I know they are usually not very accurate, however, they show a .12 drop and a buoy in the area is at 29.91 which is not unusually low, however, for this area it is. Comibine all this with convection that has persisted overnight and popcorn type storms, and we now have a new area to watch.

Of course it may all slide over and join the party in the BOC but then again may not.

Yes,that wave in the NW CARIBBEAN is the wave that interests me more then the BOC at the moment.

They both interest me -- since there is nothing else of interest.

Looks like we got some good convection blowing up in the NW Caribbean as of late -- could something be forming...?

Some of the the highest heat content in the atlantic is just north of the western tip of Cuba.

The center of that ULH rotation where the shear is lower is almost right over the convection.

The wave in the NW carribean has the best shot and best upper air environment.

But seriously it should be watched.
These things have a way of spinning up out
of nowhere sometimes.
