LOL @ Mary!!!

Okay, I am just outraged. I've come out of my Jack drool trance to read the Emmy nominations. Lost was slighted, didn't even receive a Best Drama Nod! TV Guide has 6 or pages of fan comments. Many are upset as well and mention how superb Season 3's finale was. Yes it was! Emmy worthy...

When will Lost receive the recognition it deserves?

It was most definitely Emmy worthy, as was Matthew Fox.

hmmph!

I can't believe it either. I especially thought Elizabeth Mitchell (I think that is her name) that played Juliet should receive a supporting actresss nod.

Locke and Ben are nominated for supporting actor.

I still think that "The Man Behind the Curtain", including its shocking and disturbing ending, was the best episode of any drama I've seen all season (including the Sopranos' final; which was lack luster on several levels). It is an outrage Lost was over looked completely this year.

Lost scoop.....don't read if you like to be surprised!

TV Guide is reporting that Harold Perrineau (Michael) is returning to the show. You can go to their main page and read all about it, by sifting thru an entire blog by Michael Ausiello. Usually I have a lot of patience reading his column but that was a daggone long blog! I won't include it. If you want to read it, just go to TVGuide.com.

Here's my take on the situation. Yes I've always wondered what happened to Michael and Walt - were they re-captured by the others, were they on another nearby island, or were they really back in the real world (the least likely possibility, IMO). Many questions as to their whereabouts, left hanging.

But my final comment is this - remember, Michael is a murderer now. Unlike the others, Sawyer killing Tom, made sense to me, from a Sawyer point of view and after all the survivors had gone thru. But what did Anna (almost wanted to type Anna Nicole, LOL) Lucia ever do to Michael to just point blank kill her! I know he didn't mean to kill Libby but he did in the end.

I think the group will eye Michael in a whole new way and he'll be ostracized.

Another possibility is both Michael and Walt have been on that freighter all this time.

I guess they came to an agreement regarding the amount of moneyhe was going to get for returning . . . We'll have to see if Perrineau gets "regular" cast member status.

I've read articles on Entertainment Weekly's site and also MSNBC's website. One critic quickly pointed out that Michael did kill Ana Lucia in cold blood. Shocking murder, if you ask me. I didn't care for her character but compared to Ben, she wasn't that bad. But Libby? My God, that murder came out of left field. I don't think we'll ever get over that one, will we (Garrett, we know you won't)? I predict the rest won't either. Sawyer ridding the island of Tom,in a Sawyer-like-way that made sense. I couldn't do it but when he shot Tom and said "that's for taking the kid off the raft", I found my fist in the air saying - he** yeah....... I just predict that Jack, Kate, Sawyer, etc. will be wary of Michael. He's in that "you turned against us" category. Locke seems to be in it too now. Well, Locke and Michael can share a tent huh? LOL

From Comic Con:

http://livelost.blogspot.com/

We will learn why ben was travelling across the island and why he ended up in henry gale's trap

The scene with kate and jack is not the end...there is an entire chapter that will occur after they are off the island presented in flashforward

Michael will probably have a redemptive story...harold is rejoining the regular cast in early season 4

Q: what about richard alpert
A: he is doing other show, so he might get limited screen time.

Q; what about libby????
A: ot is there intention to get to her story...theory that libby was
dharma is not "barking up the wrong tree"
Q: rousseau flashback?
A: at some point in season 4-5 but needs to synch with story.
Another orientation film!

From E!:

Will Jack and Claire find out they are related? Carlton rings the bell on Damon, but Damon nods furiously. Crowd goes wild.

Woah, thanks to E for getting real quotes:

Carlton: "What you saw with Kate and Jack was not the end of the show." DL: "The show has never really been about getting off the Island...There's this whole chapter of the story that takes place off the Island."

More from Comic Con:
The promised [Dharma Film] clip is one of the station orientation films, hosted by Marvin Candle under an alias. The footage begins with him getting his makeup done and smoothing down his Dharma labcoat. Bunnies! It's about bunnies! Bunny #15, to be specific. Marvin, who calls himself Dr. Edgar Halifax in this film, identifies it as station six, the Orchid. He says the viewer has probably realized by now that he or she is not working at a mere botanical research unit. He apologizes for making him or her lie to friends and family members about the nature of the work. He mentions something that sounds like "Kasimir effect" and mentions the "unique properties of the Island." Then there's one of Jacob's subliminal messages. It may have been some variation on "as Jacob loves you." Then there's a bunny riot. One of the station's alarms blares, Dr. Halifax/Marvin panics. There's an intercut clip of someone riding a bicycle. The clip is inserted upside-down, and the rider appears to be in the village green of Otherville...And then, amid the chaos (perhaps this is the Incident?), the filmstrip slides off the reel.

And it has been confirmed that Harold Perrineau will be a series regular in Season 4 (at least)

And better summary of the panel referenced above at Comic Con:

The [Comic-Con Lost panel] starts off with a clip with Michael Emerson calling the Others a "Rebel Sect." Also on the clip show "By the time you see this I will be dead," says M.C. Gainey. Voice-over: "The survival of the Island is now at stake." Carlton says Rachel probably won't be on the Island.Damon and Carlton say don't get too attached to Richard Alpert, because Nestor Carbonell's on CBS' Cane. They announce here that Harold is returning as Michael Dawson, but they tell the questioner they're not talking about how or when he returns. Carlton says flashbacks and flashforwards are both on the show going forward. "How far forward" and "with whom" are the Q's. Damon nods furiously [when asked if Jack and Claire will find out they are related]. Damon volunteers this regarding Ben vs. Henry Gale: "They had words." Carlton, regarding poor crazy Michael, "He took some extreme actions." Michael's story is about the power of the Island to be redemptive. And this won't be a quick pop by Redemption Island; Harold is a series regular. Michael returns early in the fourth season, or so says Damon. Carlton: "It is our intention to get to Libby's story this year, and we think you will be happy when we finish that." Damon: "There are important things going on in [Danielle's] story, and they have to sync up." They'll do that syncing in this season or next. Damon: The whole deal with the monster will be definitely answered. Carlton: The monster answer is "not going to be 10 seconds of blank tape."

This Lost fan was so happy!

Congrats going out to Terry O'Quinn.......

(still a little upset that Lost was not nominated for Best Drama, but it would have never stood a chance up against the Sopranos.....maybe next year Lost will receive recognition.....)

One TV Guide critic said Matthew Fox deserved to be nominated for Lead Actor in a Drama Series just for his Season 3 Finale performance. I wholeheartedly agree! I had to watch that finale at least 5 times.......so many, wonderful, key moments in that finale......that was an outrage he wasn't nominated.

Sci Fi Wire has a new short interview with Damon and Carlton. Things we didn't already know, or know in this level of detail:

Among the spoilers Lindelof revealed: "Michael [Harold Perrineau] is coming back. Definitely. As for Walt [Michael's young son, played by Malcolm David Kelley], we've always known Malcolm was going to grow faster than we could shoot the show. And we planned for it. Trust us. Please trust us."

The show's producers have already figured out what they will do with the mysterious character of Jacob, who was introduced at the end of season three. Picking his words carefully, executive producer Carlton Cuse said, "Yes, we do know how Jacob will be depicted. Notice the careful wording of my answer. And no, Jacob did not appear before he was met by Locke." Cuse also declined to say whether an actor had been chosen to portray the character.

The reverberations of the death of Charlie Hieronymus Pace, played by Lord of the Rings's Dominic Monaghan, at the end of the last season will inevitably continue at the beginning of season four. "The reverberation of that death echoes right into the premiere of season four," Lindelof said.

They also say the show starts Feb. 6.

NOTE: Feb 6, 2008 is a WEDNESDAY.

I'm not saying it will not happen, but until we see how ABC Wednesday does the next few weeks, I wouldn't go around and report this. There is nothing official from ABC, and Pushing Daisies hasn't premiered yet. Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money got off to really good starts, but we'll have to see if it holds up. If they do I guarantee Lost is NOT coming to Wednesday, but they may not. It is a wait and see. I don't think we'll know for sure until November.

I think it would be stupid of Damon and Carlton (the producers) not have secured the Wed night time slot for Lost in their contract. Private Practice, I really wasn't too impressed with it and in fact I've dropped it from my DVR schedule. Dirty Sexy Money, I finally watched this weekend. I liked it, better than Private Practice, and I would probably watch it again this week.

It's entirely possible one of the shows will flop(in fact history says it will), but it really depends on the next few weeks. Pushing Daisies could be a huge hit or a major flop, and it will likely affect how the rest of the lineup does.

ABC said they didn't want it at 10, so for now I am discounting that(on Wednesday anyway). I can pretty much say the nights it definitely will NOT be on is Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Monday-Wednesday and even Thursday is a possibility depending on what happens the next few weeks(I've heard some people wanting it after Grey's this weekend, but that would be at 10, because nothing holds the Grey's or Lost lead-ins). We'll see.

Either way... don't expect official word from ABC for at least a few weeks. I'll post if I find out more.

YES, YES, YES!

My daughter and I had to rewind that part, twice! Loved it!

We thought this episode was very funny and watched several scenes, more than once (the dinner for example, the helicopter bit, "I told you to stay in the car..."! LOL).

The female lead reminds of the actress married to Ben Stiller. Forget her name but she also played an old girlfriend of Earl's, on My Name is Earl too. Both actresses look like they could be sisters!

Okay, back to Lost (pretty cool though, that direct Chuck nod to Lost, THE best current show on TV, Lost that is, not Chuck, IMHO anyway, "hurry up Feb. 4th!"...)
