Any reason for the convection to move south in the GOM. Is the upper low gone now?

Geesh Jason, how does it keep missing you? Most areas have gotten more than enough from what I can see. My yard is a swamp. I accidentally stepped off the driveway last night and my flip-flop and foot sunk in mud - and there's grass there. I had to hop back across the sidewalk (where I still have to use my mock bridge because my sidewalk sunk a few months ago) and clean my feet and get more shoes. lol You're not missing much with this sloppy mess, but I know you do like thunderstorms.

It's raining, it's pouring... the old man is snoring...

Have y'all looked at a Texas loop? A lot of popcorn out there...

2.73" so far at the airport today. That actually takes us above normal for the year again as we had slipped slightly under the past few weeks. No drought this summer for sure!

Ugghhh, I'm so tired of the rain!! As the other Lafayette posters said, we had a ton of rain come down pretty quickly, and we have a 70% chance of rain tomorrow. Great. On a side note, at a high school Weatherbug station on the southside of town there was a wind gust to 34 mph.

Did IAH make it to Top 5 rainy July's? Previous top 5 rainiest July's had 3 hurricanes make landfall in Texas later during the season. The wettest, 1900, was the Cat 4 Galveston storm.

I think I saw that on a thread here at S2K somewhere, but I can't remember on what thread/

I didn't go anywhere today that wasn't wet and I went all over the parish today! Looks more like a 90% soaking.

I caught some really heavy rains around Ambassador Caffery around 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. Very deep tropical rains today!
