well the old LLC is gone folks and the new one is trying to form underneath that mass of convection well NE of the previous positioin -- that means again that a westrunner into the Western GOM likelyhood is lessening...
Notice the tendency of the blob to want to gain lattitude ever so slightly......
gosh I hope it doesn't gain too much more...
Throw out the models until the LLC finally forms.

Over the previous several hours, the stable mid-level air mass has been eroding - look here. Favorable convective parameters have increased - instability has intensified west of the system. These trends could indicate a positive sign for future development. I would monitor structural changes... the upper-air pattern is very conducive. Shear is low; there is substantial sfc convergence; and a definite sfc low could develop over the next 24 hours. Do you see a mid-level anticyclone? The persistent organization and inflow should receive attention - I think we will witness eventual development to a TD.

Surely you don't see this going north of the islands do you? And if it doesnt go north of the islands, is there going to be a trough strong enough to grab it from the carribean? U know thats pretty rare.
