Welcome to the board my friend. You will find lots of good tropical info here. Please take a moment to look over some rules and guidelines. Once again welcome.

Re: hi to everyone
Welcome.
I'm new too, well sort of.
The last time I participated on the board was August 26, 2005. I had to quit posting because
like many of you, I had to evacuate for Hurricane Katrina. I lost everything, including my previous password so I had to get a new name, which was previously CoCo. I lived in lower Plaquemines where Katrina 1st came ashore and I worked in New Orleans. Double whammy.
So after almost two years of just lurking as a guest, well I guess I've been a little busy rebuilding, I decided it was time to rejoin the group!
One more thing, a couple of weeks, maybe a month or so before Katrina, someone posted a chart, a forecast but nothing had formed. It showed a "weather event" coming across the GOM and slamming into the Northern GOM coast. I remembered it was animated, and I think it was a female poster and she said something like God help us if something like that were to hit. Any recollections? I know it was a long, long time ago, but I remember sitting in the hotel room the night of Katrina remembering that post. Thanks!!

Welcome to both of you!
Coco2 - I seem to remember that as well. I can't for the life of me remember who though.
