The fire is bad enough, but how shocking to see what goes on behind the scenes!

Good grief! How on earth can otters be more valuable than human lives... for crying in a bucket! Sorry to the tree huggers, but the need to put out a fire should certainly come higher on the list of importance than the lil ol otter!

DJ you stay safe pal! Let us know and keep us all informed about the situation. Prayers are being said for you and all those who are in this terrible situation!

Indeedy....the smoke plume at mid day near Tucson is CLEARLY visible from north Phoenix...so there are days and weeks of concern ahead of those folks down there. This is a biggy!

We will surely keep thoughts and prayers going their way even from our proximity.....

TY ALL!
Let me assure you..I am in NO Immediate danger whatsoever..HOWEVER,
IF and when the winds shift from SSW as they will eventually,the smoke and ash..will be uncomfortable and to hundreds of Thousands..potentially dangeorus.Hospitals and Clinics are on full alert for this scenario.
The map is good Marshall..I live to the lower right of the 'J' in 'DJ'..right on the base of the Mtn where the green colors are painted in.That is the Catalina State Park and is part of the Coronado NATIONAL Forest!Which means..it's YOUR land too!!!

When those lakes heat up from the fire and kill the otter, then they will complain that we didn't send them water form Lake Superior to battle the blaze. this is a little ridiculous. Scoop the damned water and to He!! with PETA and the animal rights activists.
