When looking at it zoomed out it sorta reminds me of Andrea... convection here and there in patches in a swirl, kinda... >_>

Honestly, though. If it makes it into the EPac it will have to form quick (near CentAm coast), otherwise it'll get into shear and <26C waters.

Its funny how these past couple of invest have spun up much better over land. :?:

This one actually looks like it could be drifting N ever so slowly toward the BOC. Did 99L split into two? One for the BOC and one for the EPAC?

You can see a center spinning near 16.3N-90.4W It is headed mostly west so it should crash over the Mexican Sierras tonight. This was definitely a storm if it stayed over water since it is holding circular convection around a rotating center so long. So the Santa mockers weren't entirely right.

If I lived in Texas I'd be watching this low-riding west steering tendency closely...

Looks like it's a fine day on the cam (the time stamp isn't correct).

There will be convection whipped up from the anticyclone over the wave once it reaches the BOC. I dont see a strong ULL to the west of 99L like there was with the last wave that brought rain north. No mention of a wave split from the pro mets yet either.

I see some kind of twist in the Western Caribbean -- not sure why we are not talking about this more. Looks like something is organizing to me but probably will be over land soon:
