Hi Caneman, we see convection in the extreme SW Caribbean often. They are just thunderstorms that have blown off of Colombia. The steering currents will push this into the EPAC but even there development is unlikely at this time. Look at the water vapor loop and you can see why:

EPAC centered.

Still not past August 15th yet. It's just delayed a little.
