He is here in the AOML/NOAA building in Virginia Key, Miami. I shaked his hand and said "Good Morning." He seemed happy by the expression in his face.
I already got a picture with him back in May when he was still the director.
Sandy.
I just saw Bill Proenza!!!

Hello Hurakan, I was wondering about that bottom pic which you posted. Are some of those persons surrounding Proenza the NHC forecasters?

No. Behind Proenza, to the left, that's Michael Steinberg, the Vice-President of Accuweather. To the right, that John Toohey Morales, Chieft Meteorologist of Telemundo 51 and president of ClimaData, my boss!!!
Mary Dunbar, a NWS employee, is second to the left of Proenza and the white male almost to the end to the left of Proenza is Sean Potter,
"Sean Potter is a Certified Consulting Meteorologist (CCM) with a diverse background that includes work in both the public and private sectors. He began his career working as a broadcast meteorologist and reporter for KYMA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Yuma, Arizona, where he received the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Seal of Approval for Television Weathercasting." http://www.weatherdetectives.com/about.html
John Morales is also a Certified Consulting Meteorologist.
The 10 Chinese are meteorologists of very high ranks in China that were in the US for a 4 month training paid by the Chinese government. John Morales was during the last week of May their instructor, providing them with a training in the private sector of weather in the US. I was his assistant for that week. My work in his company is updating daily two weather pages, doing translations from English to Spanish, translating three slides for Accuweather, and three times a week doing the weather forecast for a newspaper in Puerto Rico called "Primera Hora" or "First Hour."

Thanks very much for that info Hurakan. In light of recent events, I couldn't help but be a little curious.

Hurakan do me a favor.
Next time you talk to John tell him that Felipe Gómez (news anchor for Univision, Channel 11, in Puerto Rico) congratulates him for his success.
