122 degree heat index in VA

Talked with my pregnant daugher-in-law and she said it was so hot. I checked the Cheseapeake Va obs and at 7pm EST, the heat index was 122. Real temp 99, dew point 81. Ya'll on the east coast stay in the AC.....MGC

Several prominant records were recorded today - Richmond, Virginia (RIC airport) reached a high of 104°F! Additionally, persistent temperatures of 103°F were recorded for three hours at the airport. It was noted as one of the warmest readings since 1918. Lows remain in the 80s across portions of the Mid-Atlantic states. This heat definitely ranks as one of the most impressive waves in 2007. On another note, temperatures reached 97°F in portions of central FL.

According to my temp guadge it reported a High of 110 degress here in my area today. The heat index was like 114 or so.... I stayed in doors most the day today.

97 here. Heat index was about 105-108

The low last night was 80.

102 here in Greenville, NC, for 3 hours. Low of 82 overnight, with dew point of 78 degrees.

1PM Currrent Temps:

Current temp for NWS JAX, Cecil Field Station:
93F - Heat Index of 110F


Waycross GA:
95F - Heat Index of 116F


Its hot, ridiculously hot.

We have a forecast high of 98F with high humidity, I would not be shocked to see HI of 120 today.

When I got home from work today it was 100* and the heat index was 118*

I had 98F with 82F humidty level,

Heat index of 123F at my house today.
That is a little hot, glad my yardwork was already done this week.
