Oh perhaps this should be moved to the tropical forum...then we could have a daily quiz game or something. Whoever wins gets to think up the next set of questions.

What's the name of the most intense tropical cyclone ever recorded on earth...and what was it's central pressure measured by recon aircraft??
(here's a hint...the central pressure was lower than the 888 mb measured in the eye of hurricane Gilbert).

Congratulations hunter84 :) ...it was STY Tip in the Western Pacific Ocean in October of 1979.
