Sorry for the late entry. I just got home from my very long day.

Weather
Today was a marvelous day for weather. Nice and sunny, and not too hot.

Forecasts
The next possibility of a forecast is 6pm tomorrow and will only occur with an upgrade to TD status.

Happenings
Today was a long, but good day. I woke up at 7am before my 9am alarm. I got on here to check a few things, and then went back to sleep until the alarm. I woke up at 9a and by 10a I was at JCPennys (sp) doing the first bit on school shopping. I made out like a bandit with an unexpected special of buy one get another for $1!! I got 4 pairs of pants/shorts and 4 t-shirts for about half price. Then we went to Walmart. :grr: :grr: :grr: When we got there, we soon found out that they were remodeling, we thought ok whatever. Soon enough we found out that they were NOT restocking until the remodeling was done in SEPTEMBER!!! This is a walmart supercenter in the middle of the shcool shopping season. I was pissed at this point, I couldn't find anything. I decided that I was going to the regular walmart down the street. I got there and found out they also were remodeling. They however were restocking every other week instead of once or twice a week. Still aggravated I found everything I was required to have for school. I didn't even bother to look at clothes. These stores looked like kmart had bought them out and couldn't pay for new shipments. There wasn't a pharmacy or a grocery store in the Super Walmart and also all of the isles were made so small it was a one way in the regular walmart. grrr. I am now going to go to Target tomorrow. I might also hit up the mall tomorrow.
I come home and rest for a while and play with my new flash drive and calculator. We have a normal dinner and get a phone call from pat to come over for a cookout and movie at 7:30. I decided to mow today and halfway through the backyard the mower completely dies and cannot be restarted. OH MAN, there was enough steam coming out of my ears to run an iron. Then we went over to pats and eat and then pile one man and 5 kids into the car like clowns lol.. We went over to blockbuster and find a movie that we cant get because one of the kids was too young. We walked around looking at old and older movies. We picked out 3 that some of us had not watched. I cant even remember the name of the movie we ended up watching lol.

Its been a long day, Im gonna stop in chat and then go to bed jut to do it all over again

Oh...I DETEST Wal Fart. Ours is always out of stock of things too, and everything is so disorganized. Not to mention the typical chaotic atmosphere of sreaming kids and jammed aisles. You have to juke and stiff arm people just to get somewhere.

Nice blog.

Weather

Today on my way to Sonic I got poured on! It only rained while I was at sonic or going to Sonic.

Forecasts
The next possibility of a forecast is 6pm tomorrow and will only occur with an upgrade to TD status.

Happenings
Today I got up and went to smallmart (Kmart.) surprise surprise that there was nobody there and only one check out open. I got a few shorts and shirts. Then I went home and me and my sister went to paint the senior hallway and get her schedule. We got her schedule and I showed her where her classes were and then decided that because there were only a few annoying blonde (no offense) cheerleaders we were going to go to sonic. So we went home and got some money and then walked in the expectant rain to sonic. I ended up getting a Large Reese's Sonic Blast and a fruit smoothie. Call me fat lol. Then we walked home and I got a little more work done for college. Then I have been watching TV for the last hour on break.

Im gonna put a sticky note on my forehead. Lots to talk about and it all blends in so Im gonna put it all in one section.

Everything!!
Today I woke up late and it was POURING. I decided not to go to school because of that. I stayed home and all heck broke out in the world. First a Tornado in NYC, and earthquake in Jakarta, another possible tornado near Chicago. There have been 2 TC's going over Taiwan and hitting two major cities in or near China. A new TD formed and then we welcomed Flossie to the world! Then the heat hit me, oh jeez Very Hot! 112°F heat index at the house. All over the US HOT. I did get some college work when I wasnt looking at a natural disaster. Did I miss anything. Oh Endeavour successfully launched into space, I watched it on NASA TV. Today was an on my toes kinda day. I had to recover after yesterdays sight of a naked Brent and TrekkerCC in chat! lol
Im starting to get sick of rocks. I havent even started school and I am about sick of something
My sister wants to get a python, but my mom wont budge, hehe. The funny thing is my sister screamed when she was part of a hair clip on the floor cuz she thought it was a cockroach and made me pick it up.
Im going to the Salvation Army tomorrow to donate some clothes and games and stuff that I never use. I might go over to the school if it isn't raining. Hopefully it will be calmer than today. Still 86° and a 95HI at midnight!!! Cant wait for it too cool down a little.

Forecasts
The next possibility of a forecast is 6pm tomorrow and will only occur with an upgrade to TD status. If there is a significant change in the Tropical Wave Hispanola-Central ATL a forecast may be possible.

Today was a boring and somewhat bad day.

Weather
HOTT!! 98°F with a heat index of 120°!! We had a good downpour today too. So much rain that It came in the wall AC. I just went out to fix it and its still really hot. This ring of fire needs to go away.

Forecasts
I will be making a forecast at some point tomorrow, likely around 8p unless significant development or undevelopment occurs. I am also declaring a BLOB WATCH tonight effective from 11pm tonight until Saturday at 11pm EDT. This is not an official watch and should not be used as such.

Happenings
Today I woke up and felt very weak. I lounged around most of the day and didnt get any work done. I didnt go to the school because it was so hot. I am now planning on going over to the school tomorrow for my sister again.

Re: Fact789's weather, forecasts, happenings-BLOB WATCH

#34 Postby JonathanBelles » Fri Aug 10, 2007 7:11 pm

The following post is NOT an official forecast and should not be used as such. It is just the opinion of the poster and may or may not be backed by sound meteorological data. It is NOT endorsed by any professional institution including storm2k.org For Official Information please refer to the NHC and NWS products.

Starting tonight, I will be doing forecasts on the systems of concern, unless noticed. I will be doin imaginary, but short silly advisories unless there is a serious storm. I will have a scale of well known s2k terms and some NHC advisory terms.
This is the scale: Blob Watch-issued when there is a blob
vvvv
Bear Watch-Issued when a blob is supported by model data and is mentioned by the NHC.
vvvv
Serious Advisory Mode-This will only be mentioned once, and this means that the storm is threatening the US or one of the islands. After this is issued all advisories mentioned except the wobble watch is official.
vvvv
TS/Hurricane Watch/Warning-These are the equivilent of NHC watches and warnings.
=
Wobble Watch-This is only issued when a wobble is or has occurred in a system in a TS/Hurricane Watch/Warning.

This is all fun and games. This will not be posted in TT. A separate forecast will be done in TT. Do not take this forecast in all seriousness.

Advisory 081007 will be issued at 9p tonight.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Please tell me if anything should be changed or if I missed an s2k term that should be implemented into the scale.

Advisory 081007

Currently parts of the east Atlantic are in a Bear Watch. This will be mentioned later. There are two Blob Watches in affect: one in the NW Atlantic off the coast of the Atlantic, and the other in the central to western Atlantic.

Image

1. This is the Bear Watch area. This will travel generally to the w or wnw. A few of the models develop this system and bring it into the GOM. The models differ into where they enter the gulf. At this point I believe that it will slowly develop in to a TD or TS crossing the atlantic and enter the carib, from there it is unclear as to where it will go. I believe it will become an invest in the coming days. Buoys near Africa are showing wind changes. Water temps are marginal for development. Wind Shear is low, but will be increasing significantly. Development if any will be slow to occur.

2. This is an area in a Blob Watch. Not much there at the present, not even much of a blob. Wind Shear here is low, but if it enters the WGOM it will be high. Water temps here are plenty high for development and in the GOM are high enough for explosive development.

3. This is an area in a Blob Watch, but this area is not much of a concern and the Blob Watch may be dropped tomorrow. I will not be watching this area, unless something changes, for development.

Chances for Tropical Storm Development in the Next 3 days: 20%
No possibility of hurricane development in the next 3 days.
US threat of Tropical development in next 24%: 1%

Forecasts

Advisory 081107
Edited to correct to Eastern and Central Caribbean instead of Pacific

The East Atlantic tropical wave was upgraded to an Invest today and may be upgraded further to a TD as early as tonight or tomorrow. The Carib wave is now under a Bear Watch.

Image

East Atlantic...Invest 90L...This area is under a Bear Watch. This area has become better defined and has winds of 30-35 mph per quikscat. The GFS still does not know where this system is going, but it is reasonable to say that it has a large chance of hitting the US (95%.) I see two scenarios with this system: Going north of PR or south of PR. If 90L goes north, then it will likely hit the Bahamas and S/E Florida. If 90L moves into the Carib, it could move just about anywhere in the GOM. I believe this system will be come a TD tonight or tomorrow AM, possible a TS by Tuesday. GFDL brings this system to a CAT 2 before reaching the islands. I do think this system will hit PR and a few of the other Lesser Antilles. I would prepare now if you are in those areas. Water temps are still marginal for development. Wind Shear is a little high yet, but is decreasing in the few coming day. After that shear is high and is increasing. Shear may be a small problem to this system.

East and Central Caribbean...This area is also under a bear watch. This system will be very slow to develop, if at all. Only a few of the models develop it and those that do bring it north and west towards TEX/MEX. I am not as worried with this system as I am with 90L. Wind Shear is low and SST's are high, but this system needs to get its act together in order to be affected as much.

Chances for Tropical Depression Development in next 3 days: 75%
Chances for Tropical Storm Development in the Next 3 days: 30%
Possibility of hurricane development in the next 3 days:5%
US threat of Tropical development in next 24%: 1%
