Re: GFS develops wave about to emerge Coast of Africa

And that's not counting the two other threads about this same system. One 4 page thread started by SouthFloridawx (All Models Showing Development, CV Long Tracker.) and another 5 page thread started by MiamiensisWx (Strong tropical wave about to emerge Western Africa). Why are there 3 threads about this same feature? Can't we keep the discussion in a single thread.

Re: GFS develops African wave=00z GFS run is rolling in
All not to worry. The biggest joke at the NHC is that you are safest in the center of the cone 5+ days out.

That used to be the case but as they get better, the more dread it becomes to be in the cone at all.

My prediction for this run is another powerhouse hurricane in the GOM. The GFS is getting a better handle on it hour by hour so look for this GOM trend to become entrenched.

I've seen waves develop as soon as the wave axis hit the water. It would not surprise me at all for this to be more than an invest in 24-36 hrs.

You actually think it will reach the GOM, if that was to actually happen, then i will be soooooooo excited.miamicanes177 wrote:My prediction for this run is another powerhouse hurricane in the GOM.
