And that's not counting the two other threads about this same system. One 4 page thread started by SouthFloridawx (All Models Showing Development, CV Long Tracker.) and another 5 page thread started by MiamiensisWx (Strong tropical wave about to emerge Western Africa). Why are there 3 threads about this same feature? Can't we keep the discussion in a single thread.

All not to worry. The biggest joke at the NHC is that you are safest in the center of the cone 5+ days out.

That used to be the case but as they get better, the more dread it becomes to be in the cone at all.

This wave yall talking about looks nice right now, BUT i dunno if its gonna develop.

Oh No! i turning into some of the s2kers that keep saying things won't develop. oh i'll never be like that

Only 36 hours out and Sub 1006mb. How early have they called an invest off of Africa? I think we have darn near had named systems but I don't know..

My prediction for this run is another powerhouse hurricane in the GOM. The GFS is getting a better handle on it hour by hour so look for this GOM trend to become entrenched.

I've seen waves develop as soon as the wave axis hit the water. It would not surprise me at all for this to be more than an invest in 24-36 hrs.

I am waiting for all of the models to have a single initialization point.. that's the next stage of fantasy land..lol Nogaps is behind at least..

Paul,I dont think this will develop as quickly as GFS is showing but time will tell how all evolves.

Strong surface and 500mb ridges, so west for now.
