No offense but I (as well as 99% of this board) live in the lower 48, therefore we're more concerned with what's going on in the Atlantic. Yes Flossie is impressive but I don't live in Hawaii, but I hope those folks out there are keeping an eye on it.

Hey guys I am not a professional met, nor do I claim to know anything technical about canes. But our local met here in Lafayette, LA is sure talking about this one. And saying it will be in the GOM by Aug 22nd.

You need to switch to a different TV station. Anyone forecasting that today is foolish.

When's the last time you saw a CONSENSUS that looked like this, on a storm that hadn't formed yet?
Looks like it will be making a bee line to someone

Put La and Miss in a big scare I would think. But I guess they are trying to give the ones that didn't leave the first time a head start.

How many THOUSANDS of miles away is this, as of yet; unamed, unclassified system??
And a local Met is talking about it being in the Gulf 2 WEEKS from now!

That's not the fault of the website; it is because of the policy of the organization that runs the satellite, EUMETSAT. Only images of Europe get distributed for free hourly.
