Re: TS Dean: For any Island in the Carib that could be affected
TropicsPR brought up a very good point.
The Big Island, Puerto Rico is prone to landslides and flooding cutting off villages. This needs to be monitored closely.

I know for a fact that if Dean gets close the PR Power will cut our service in advance.
Does any other island do that?

As I go to bed I would like all of you out there to remember one thing.
This will hit the islands prior to any US landfall.
So please get off your high horses and worry about us in the Carib.
You are many days away.
Good night and dream of good things for us in the islands.

Re: Tropical Storm DEAN: Discussions, Analysis and Imagery
I'm starting to get scared by Dean. At this rate, We could have a hurricane by tommarow night or Thursday morning. And faster intenisifaction means a more northward track, and let m tell you somthing. Some people here in Broward County that I know think that this might not be that bad, and would probably be ripped up by the islands before it gets to us, like Ernesto. Its suprising that some people here in SFL still havnt gotten the message yet.

So let me ask a question?
Since you are in Jupiter and know so much do that make you a expert? Have you ever been in Jupiter in a storm? Have you seen 30-40 swells coming into the inlet?
Well I have. My parents live on the water at Jupiter Inlet Coloney and since I was a child I watched every storm. I have watched every storm that came in from my back porch as a child.
I also watched men that died. Are you happy?

seriously .. thats a little over doing it... I have personally chased about a half dozen hurricanes (not counting the ones i went through before) !! i have seen what they can do
but i dont die .. you know why because i have educated myself with them... point being thats why we are all here to learn
not to wish a storm on anyone or even forget about anyone.. but everyone has their own priorities.

I pray that you folks in the islands come though this storm safely. God willing, you will be spared the devastation that you have suffered in previous storms. take all the preparations you can and I know you will come out of this safely! Our thoughts and prayers go out to you!
