Converting UTC/Zulu Time To Local Time

#1 Postby brunota2003 » Wed Aug 15, 2007 2:31 am

I did not know where to put this...so

I found this and figured it would come in handy for anyone wondering how to convert UTC or Zulu time to their local time. Yes, it requires a little bit of thinking (it doesnt convert the time automatically) but should come in handy:

Also, if anyone else has any links to something similar to this, feel free to post.

Put this in the Tropical Reference Library! Good info for those who want to know more about it.

I just remember that 0Z, 6Z, 12Z, and 18Z are 5 PM, 11 PM, 5 AM, and 11 AM, respectively, in PDT. (that would be for the east, 8 PM, 2 AM, 8 AM, and 2 PM respectively)

Bumping. If a mod or admin would like, they can put this in the correct section.
