Do you believe???

#1 Postby bfez1 » Tue Jun 24, 2003 10:27 am

You should never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.

The picture you are looking at below, is one of many taken by a professional police photographer.
After developing the pictures he had taken, the officer found what looked like some type of figure in one shot.
Thinking it was a problem with his camera or film, he performed tests on both.
They both checked out perfectly!
Take a look at this!

That isn't saying anything about it being Photoshopped or something. I think it's fake...

I have seen this pic before. It was passed around the office a few years back. We all think it was real. Gave me goose bumps then and does so now.

OtherHD... tests were done on this and it was confirmed there was nothing wrong with the detectives camera or the film. The rest of the pics came out fine while that one portrayed that image.

Very interesting... got this in an e-mail bout a week ago... I think it's real. Looking at it again, I think it's real... first time I saw it I thought it was fake... now I think it's real.

Really cool pic!

To be honest, it just looks incredibly fake. Spray-tool anyone?

I realize that Linda. But nothing was said about the photo being altered by photoshop or paint or anything.

It would be nice to have a source for this, that is, some way that we can check the veracity of the story. Religious sites are notorious for posting patently false stories and pictures.

Well WidreMann, correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't your first assumption be that it's false because you're not a believer? I may be wrong here, but I think that's what I remember from a previous discussion.

And what kind of religious sites are you talking about? You do know that all religions aren't Christians, don't you? There are some scary "religions" out there.

I do beleive in angels. The messengers which are sent from God to minister to his people, as well as the fallen Angels who fell with Satan. The Bible speaks of angels in many places, and if you go into the study of it, you can actually get a very good grasp of what they are and what they do.

Yeah, I believe. I love reading ghost stories and watching shows on psychic phenomenon. I could very well be fake but...

I've heard that phrase before Bfez - "Don't drive faster than your guardian angel"!

Bonnie - this is awesome. I have seen this picture before. I honestly think it's real. I believe I have a guardian angel. And yes I probably do drive faster than it can fly sometimes (bad habit of mine).

You are So right southerngal, religion has NUTHIN' to be with being a believer! Jesus is NOT about religion, it's about being a Christian, there's a HUGE difference in *religion and christianity*

NOW......Hmmmm, I believe in Angels, no doubt, I know......I've seen them in the flesh (won't go into the story, it's too long and off topic!) but this photo for some reason looks a *little* fishy!

Every once in a while a photo surfaces that makes one wonder....this is one!

Since the topic here is "Do You Believe".....I don't think I'm off-topic to tell what happened to me a couple months ago.

My Mom is in the last stages of Alzhiemers. The last several years have been quite challenging! Such an interesting disease this is!! That little lady who sits with a perpetual smile on her lips.....and sometimes communicates in little "tsk, tsk, tsk" or "do-do-do" sounds is VERY different than the person who raised 6 kids! I work with many "Special Needs" students yearly, and have been successful in "going into her world" as I often do with students. Simply said....I observe things much differently than my siblings....and I can often get her to talk with me in understandable words. Music, singing, and talking about childhood memories seem to easily "bring her back" for me.

She has not recognized me as her daughter for 2 years now. She knows I'm there to visit her, but always has to ask me who I am. Her sister died a year ago....and recently Mom has been calling me by her name.....Maxine. I was very close to this aunt. A while back when she called me Maxine, I carefully told her that she had died......."Well, she's standing right there behind you!" Mom quickly said....."There's a whole bunch of people there"!

I felt no fear...almost a comfort at her words....and on my hour drive home thought about mentioning to my family over a year ago that Moms eyes always seemed to be looking over my shoulder....and she would look at the ceiling as if there was something there to be seen!

She mentions this to me every week now......but says nothing at all like this to her other children.....(Ha! I say "children.....but we range in age from 44 to 61!)

They say children often mention "seeing" things we don't......I wonder if that simplistic outlook a child has comes back to a dying person.............p :?:

I'm still not entirely sure why supernatural beings are often depicted in human form. After all, the human form is ugly, clumsy and so poorly constructed that even on the relatively hospitable planet earth, it can live unaided only in some of the many biomes that exist here on the surface, not including water and the air above the ground, which is completely hostile to human bodies unaided as far as living long-term is concerned and in some cases, even surviving at all.

Petal,
Very nice story! You mentioned children and their abilities. My son, who is 18 now, was about 3 1/2 yrs old and one day we were driving over the beach overpass here and underneath the overpass is a church (the one I got married in) My son said "Mommy, what's that?" I said that is a church. He said "I have been there before" I politely replied, "No, you haven't" He said "That is where I was when I decided I wanted you to be my mom" At this point, all was quiet, because I simply KNEW he was telling the truth. I had never told him that was the church we got married in and he had never asked. He was only 3 years old! This is a story that I rarely ever tell because it was a very special moment and there are so many skeptics that I didn't want to take the chance of anyone trying to refute it or make excuses for it. Do I believe in Angels?? You bet I do!!
