Ok .... radar showing convection wraping around .. banding is improving...

that and its getting closer to the radar.

but a burst maybe happening.. waiting on last satellite image ..

It looks like the ULL has kind of stalled out...What will this mean, especially with Dean moving faster?

this is not going to kill many on the Yucatan

Even if this strikes the Yuc as a cat 5, it is not going to be as bad as Wilma (unless it hits with 175+). Remember, Wilma sat there for more than 36 hours

looks like we MIGHT*** have a closed eyewall from the looks on radar. Also see a warm spot on the IR

GFDL and UKMET will come out at 1:30 AM EDT.

banding definitely looking better on last radar shot... maybe just because it is getting more in range and the radar is picking up more of the lower levels rather than mid levels...
