Check out this loop - and click to activate the position plots and then zoom in. You'll see it looks like center of storm due to cross over next plotted position dead-on. (Those forecasters are truly amazing) Draw a line from that position to the next one, and it crosses right over bay/harbor on the west coast where Fort de France is located.

where are you located at?

Looks like NOGAPS is the only significant southerly hold out between the big 4. Look for a slight northward adjustment by the NHC in the next package...

UKMET makes landfall just north of Matagorda Bay. Wow, I think, we're getting a consensus now!

The only Consensus I see is Dean might be a Texas issue possible LA. The Question is where on the TX coast, it's huge and makes a big difference if a major comes in at Brownsville or anywhere North of Corpus.

UKMET, GFDL, and NOGAPS are all now missing the Yuctuan Peninsula.

*sigh* and I was actually hoping for some sleep tonight lol.

SHould Dean come knocking anywhere near Houston we may have to deal with severe flooding on top of the wind. There is a 90%, 70% 50% and 30% chance of rain over the next four days respectively. The Ground will be completely saturated all along the TX coast.

Yes, safe here, just worried about those further down island. And have very fond memories of Martinique, was there twice, have been to nearly all the islands east/south of here.

I better post a pick, because that sat view will change and be gone. It may matter to someone to see what it looked like.

Getting occasional gust up here on the hill, and St. Thomas airport at 2am recording gust 20kt, St. Croix 19kt, Antigua 26kt. I imagine it will be quite blustery in St. Croix later today.

Guys, that UK model is seriously about to make me go into a nervous breakdown.

Should I worry? Seriously?

Lets be patient. Remember just two years ago, a cat 5 was IN the GULF bearing down on the Middle Texas coast. Now we are focusing on a hurricane that has yet to even ENTER the Caribbean. No need to panic or worry those around us. Should some concern begin to arise? No doubt......
