TPC Surface Analysis Chart suggests a 1009mb area of low pressure and hints that it can lower to 1008mb during the next 24 hours...Convection has been in the increasing, lets see if some organization starts to take place as it moves rapidly to the west..

The Pattern is full.. Models have been hinting at a couple waves developing behind Dean. It looks like this may come true!

New storm on the horizon?? [merged]

#31 Postby Vortex » Fri Aug 17, 2007 10:35 pm

According to several models Nogaps, CMC, GFS, and Nam there depicting what appears to be a developing cyclone near 15.5N/37w. While it's not overally impressive this evening it does have the general look and a large envelope. The models track this feature due west for at least the next 5-7 days. Lets see if the models continue the trend...Here's the 8/18 00z NAM

Several models have been hinting at a possible development coming into the Bahamas and heading toward Florida for late next week.GFS has been leading the way showing this for several runs now. Lets see what happens:):)

Should be interesting...Especially wth the strong ridging anchored to the north. I think the next few days the satelite presentation will improve and we'll get a better handle on what to key in on...Just about all the models depict some low developing and heading west towards florida late next week. Given the postion of the ridge to the nort and time of year that always raises an eyebrow...

Yes.. I would have to agree. I notice a few days ago the GFS had been stalling out the potential low near the Bahamas and the last few days has slowly continued to bring it it West to where tonights run has it right to the Florida Coast and drifting slowly North with it. I have a feeling that it will continue to bring it further west in the coming days but I am getting way ahead of myself here.. Like you said , the next few days should tell the tale of where and what to key in on if anything at all. I am thinking we will indeed have something to track next week heading towards the Bahamas/Florida. Time will tell. :D
