I heard about that pick up/ put down game. Its been STRONGLY advised to bring one bag....and to fit everything in it. I've been also told to wear a plain t-shirt to BMT's. If that particular shirt has anything on it, it is grounds for embarrassment. Its a mind game these TI's are playing....just follow their 'belted' instructions, listen and obey what they are saying and that's basically all they ask you to do.

Yes, it IS "tick season", isn't it....or was that "Ticka"?

BTW, Shannon, you should have a hint of your first morning...

"Get UP! Get OUTTA da beeeeeeeeeeed..." "Good morning, Airman! Did your mother dress you today? BUTTON THOSE POCKETS!!!!"...Moving to the bed, the MTI decorously flings the mattress and sheets all over the flight bay..."If you people can't learn to make a bed properly, why should this man's Air Force entrust you with millions of dollars of equipment that might SAVE SOMEONE'S LIFE???"

"You have 30 seconds to get down those stairs to the flightline for physical training! MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!!!" :rarrow: :rarrow: :rarrow: :rarrow:

Bill...you have that down so well. Coming from Missouri, I have so many fond memories of my drill sergeants at beautiful Fort Leonard Wood near Rolla.

"See that field soldier? Somewhere out there is a cigarette butt. All I want to see for the next 20 minutes are elbows and as*****s finding it. And by the way, you are the most sorry a** excuse for a platoon that I have ever seen."

Oh, yes...and then, there's that all-time favorite, "Get that dead tarantula off my parade ground! Any of you people go to college?" One or two raise their hands...."Good! You're qualified! Grab that shovel and bury the damn thing!"

My compliments to USAF Technical Sergeant Robert T. Andrews and Staff Sergeant Augustin Hernandez, Jr. for the educational opportunities...I'd never trade one second of it all, for as they said..."We have SIX WEEKS to turn you people around from being PFCs (Poor Fool Civilians) into some kind of AIR FORCE!"

They did.
