Well... good morning Dennis. I guess we have to take what we can get huh? No wind, but down near freezing. You know... if it snowed that might slow the fires down.

A 4hr. nap Joshua? I am one of those people who can't nap unless I am just give out completely. And if I do nap, usually when I wake up I am cranky. :)

Enjoy the day everyone!

Yeah, Dennis - if only! No, it was just filled with a saline solution - just what I need, more water weight!!! :o The finger is all black & blue and the swelling has gond down abit.

My new nickname is going to be "Runs With Needles"!

I'm waiting for Breeze to scold me!

Anyway, alittle warmer today - it's going in the mid-90's but the nice thing about it is that the humidity is down, so you can actually enjoy it!

I think the forecast for the mountains in Wyoming/Montana call for mountain SNOW! I know it's possible, but, just keep the cool/cold air over there for awhile!

Joshua - just keep putting ice on the ankle and keep it elevated to get that swelling down! I'm glad you feel okay about work now.

Big Dave - my teddy bear is back! YIPPEE!!!

Well, gotta scoot - catch y'all later!

LOL Steph!

Hello to all!!!! Just here for a brief visit in between piles of laundry. Leaving tomorrow for Colorado. Can't wait to see the Rockies (never been).
Also heading out in about 1 hr to have my hair cut - 1ST TIME IN 3 YEARS!!! I've been growing it to donate to Locks of Love. They make wigs from donated hair for children with hair loss. They require a 10" minimum ponytail, so it's been taking a while. I'll try to post before and after pics. :D

Have a great day!!!

Good afternoon!

That's so nice of you isobar. I had never heard of Locks of Love until last week...one of our local news channels did a segment on it.

I'm just popping in for a few minutes too. I am at my sister's house this week because we are replacing our air conditioning stuff and it's impossible to stay in that sauna while they do it so me and the kids are staying here. I don't have much time to visit here because we stay pretty busy...we are also having Vacation Bible School every evening.

Anyway, I gotta run & I'll pop in when I can. Ya'll have fun!! :D

Isobar - you're one of several people I've known that has done that recently! That's a wonderful gesture!

The Rockies ARE SPECTACULAR! My first time I flew into Colorado Springs and all you see is a wall of mountains! You want to just reach out and touch them! HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP!

Keep cool Southerngale! Have some of Colin's lemonade - thanks Colin!

I'll drop by later!

Donna... I should have known that you were doing something that worthy. You are always donating to selfless causes. :) That is to be commended. And as an aside... I about fell out of my chair when I saw your signature. I love the Holiday Inn Express commercials.

Southerngale I am glad you had somewhere to go. You would have cooked in your house this week. :)

Well, I need to get back to pretending to be busy. ;)

Another typical day for me. Catching up on many of the threads here. Hard to keep up. I hope everyone had and is continuing to have a great Wednesday. :)

Another rainless day across central Florida... but watching the convection to my south-southwest moving closer and closer. Sure is something to monitor no matter what it does.

Rain chances across Florida should be increases like the NWS forecasts indicated last night, however they omitted the word "likely" from the forecast. It was used in last night's forecast for at least a day or two... however the word "slight" is not being used. :)

Hey folks! Boy, can you believe it?? We have had no rain yet today!! *ducks, waiting for lightening to hit me on the head* I have been watching the models though and they are all pointing to more and more rain for us................I feel like a duck(((((((Quack))))))))))
Donna, what a wonderful thing you are doing! I recently cut off ALOT of my hair and I didn't even think about giving it away! Welp, maybe next time. I have never even seen the mountains! How excited you must be! Heck, I have never really seen snow either! Florida Sun Baby here!! Or maybe I just live a sheltered life. I need to get out more!
Josh..............GET SOME SLEEP!
Dennis, looked on the puter today to see just "how far" I was away from there ad it is 1685 MILES!! Wow, that is a long way!! BBBRRRRR is right, so cold there for you!!

I am leaving Saturday to go to FSU for my son's orientation!! I am so excited! I am just going to live vicariously through him for the next four years!! I also decided to take the whole week off from work, not a real vacation b/c I am not going anywhere, just want to take the time to catch up on some school work and house work!! Maybe slip a massage in there somewhere to pamper myself!!

Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful day and evening!!

Wow, very cold for late June in a portion of Arizona. Brrr! Temperature must have warmed up quickly today!... from 33ºF to at least the upper 80's low 90's in portions of Arizona?

I read/heard about several places in the United States in the upper Midwest and western states where the temperature has cooled down very rapidly.

How about this for a record:
In just 15 minutes, a 47ºF plunge occurred at Rapid City, South Dakota on January 10, 1911, from 55ºF at 7:00 AM to 8ºF at 7:15 AM.

That is quite a plunge Tom! :o Yikes.

Today our weather warmed up nicely ... from 58 at sunrise to 74 for the high. Quite a nice day indeed. :D Tomorrow may be even warmer.

I got some sleep alright ... but it caused me to be late for work. :( By 35 minutes. :o Dang. But it's over with now. Other than that my work day went well.

Tomorrow at 3:15 PM I see the doctor for my ankle. I will update you on how it goes as soon as I get home. :D

I have a new avatar of me up, taken tonight around 7 PM. Hope you like it! :D

A new and improved JOSH avatar. Thanks! Wish there was something I could do to improve photos of me!!! (If I blur them enough I can take the wrinkles away!)

Donna....nice gift. Remember hearing of that organization when I was with Make-A-Wish. Enjoy Colorado...the Front Range is wonderful!

Headin' toward 110 this weekend. Pool time will be needed.

Have a nice Thursday everyone. Month end, FY end, and last week of the month. WOW, what a printing schedule we have at the plant until Monday!

Morning everyone!

I spent much of last evening offline due to the very intense lightning that we had here. There was so much electricity in the air last night! :o This morning is cool enough for a light jacket with temps in the upper 50's. Contrast that with a low yesterday morning of 76º.

Joshua, keep us updated on your ankle.

For all you Floridians -- stay dry because it looks like more rain is coming for you unfortunately.

Enjoy your Thursday,
Garrett :multi:

Good Evening All :D

I'm just popping in for a minute to say hi. Garrett...I have cooked this week. It has been SO HOT some this week that I literally feel like I'm suffocating at times. The humidity has been high and our heat index has soared. My husband had some tapes outside at work that they were giving away and they melted. Today was better because we had a little rain and it was cloudy for some of the day.

Anyway, gotta run.

Have a great weekend everyone!!! :D
