South Florida Gathering-Saturday September 1

We're planning another fun evening for our South Florida Storm2K gang and guests on Saturday, September 1. This time the party will be held at Bru's Room at 235 S. Federal Highway, Pompano Beach. The evening promises to be the highlight of the 2007 weather/social calendar, so we hope you can attend. (18 and over only, sorry) Please pm weatherwindow or BocaGirl as early as you can to confirm. a good turnout and a great time was had by all...this was our chance to welcome southfloridawx back to the right side of the state ....and a particularly warm welcome to amanda(it was amazing that she was able to tolerate all our obsessing on ridging and climo)....well guess what all you sfla troopers...our october meeting is in the works...location: barretts/mcguiness' irish pub, galt ocean mile on A1A, in oakland park....fyi, we savaged this location last year ....date, time and directions forthcoming........thanks to everyone for making this event a success......rich

The September gathering was the best! The conversation ranged from weather (naturally) to sports, cars, drinks with funny names and everything in between. We welcomed Nathan (SouthFloridawx) and his friend Amanda back to South Florida. We ended the evening only because Bru's Room was closing the dining room! No one wanted to leave! We hope you can join us in October.

Is there any chance a gathering could be had on a Saturday night north of Deerfield? I missed the last one that was close to me, I live west of Boynton. And my wife already thinks I am nuts for posting on this board. So, a long drive to gather socially is out of the question for me. But, I may be able to swing a short drive.

I have an idea...why not try bring your wife to to the October group? It's a really great time and we laugh and talk about more than weather during the course of the evening. That's what makes these gatherings so much fun.

The place for the next one is already set. Let's see where the November-December gathering ends up.
