We need the rain down here. My lawn is crispy But I really wish it would have gone over the watershed north of lake Okeechobee.

I did refresh it. The single image it shows on the Mexican coast, if you add the lat/long on August 7. The loop shows the correct system.

we may actually have to watch this wave as it moves across south florida and into the SE GOM. Conditions appear they will be more favorable when it gets into the GOM. Currently the ULL to the south is prohibiting development.

Not sure why that has a floater. Nice sharp little wind shift following the area of storms, but it is behind the storms.

What might have been a lower cloud spin near 25ºN and 75ºW looks like it is falling apart. But Florida needs the rain, as mentioned by others earlier on the thread.

Nothing to look at, and, in my humble amateur opinion, nothing will happen until what was a really impressive looking tropical wave that fizzled on hitting the coast gets out past 50ºW. May not happen then, but won't happen before then. Because this thing is booking, won't develop beforew Florida, and will have only three days in the Gulf before Texas.

Any news on what this high pressure will be doing a few days down the road? If this cloudiness heads across S. Florida and into the SE GOM, how much of this high will still be around or will it still be just as strong to push everything to the west?

Well, the 12Z GFS suggests this tries to almost close off an isobar just before arriving near Corpus Christi on Sunday morning, and does bring rain. Texas is in good shape for now ion the rainfall department, but I imagine one vigorous tropical wave won't hurt too badly.
