I was wondering if there was anything of concern in the northern GOM around 27n 88w? There seems to be spinning at some level with convection starting up to the NE and SE of it. Pressure in that area dropping a bit on the buoys.
It's kind of sandwiched between the area in the BOC and the flare up down by south Florida. I've been watching all three and the whole GOM seems to be pretty active.

Re: NGOM
Maybe some hint of a West wind in low clouds South of the blob
Can't tell if ULL Northeast is shearing it or trying to induce a short wave ridge and ventilate it...

Re: NGOM
Looks like the Gulf will be unsettled the next several days. One model does spins something up next week in the Northern Gulf but its the DGEX model so it should be taken with a grain of salt.

Re: NGOM
What is being seen right now in the NGOM is an ULL moving Westward with a wave just to its' East following it. It is expeceted to enhance our rain chances along the TX coast starting tomorrow, but no development is expected atm.
