BOC convection

It looks like its trying to organize this morning but is very near the Mexican Coast. Even looks have feederband type convection to the N and NE of the deepest convection.

Yeah wouldn't be surprised to see an upgrade to depression (yes, I said upgrade to depression) later today. Pressure is not far above that level right now. Banding is becoming apparent on IR. It is close to shore. Don't know if the NHC would go through the usual "Invest Label" process or not. Things look to be coming together pretty quickly. So before anyone says that they were shocked or had not idea, I'll repeat now, that I wouldn't be surprised to see an upgrade to depression by tonight.

Well they don't seem to be the least bit concerned about this one. Looks to me to be more than a broad area of low pressure and moving more NW than W, which would still bring it on shore but not as soon.
