Nuclear component found at backyard of house in Baghdad

#1 Postby cycloneye » Wed Jun 25, 2003 7:22 pm

http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/06/ ... index.html

A scientist in Iraq had this nuke component hiding in his backyard for 12 years but this is not a smoking gun as the US is saying but gives the idea that WMD is in Iraq somewhere and that task force of 1.300 people will eventually find those WMD I hope sooner rather than later.

I heard this on Fox News Channel just five to ten minutes ago; at 9:00 PM Eastern Time. It sounds like breaking news.

How long do you think it would have take in UN Weapons Inspectors to find this stuff? They wouldn't have found it in 10 years of looking. The only reason that this man came forward is because of the coalition control of the country. As things begin a return to normal in Iraq more and more people will come forward. I for one have no doubt that WMD will be found eventually. We must remaon committed to the task at hand! :-)

You are right on Marshall! This is just the tip of the iceberg, rest assured. What really bothers me still is the "NEED" for the smoking gun so to speak. You want to see smoke people?..just hang on till the next terror attack in this country, then you will see plenty, and then you will remember.

If everyone remembers correctly... the Iraqi people rose up against Saddam in 91 and they feel like we turned our backs on them. Saddam executed them which we now know to be true since finding all those shallow graves. Once we have gained their trust again, they will start coming forward more and more.

I'm guessing the president was right. I think what Saddam did is that he
lied denying that there was no WMD in Iraq. Saw this on MSNBC
back on Wednesday afternoon.

Hopefully that will not occur j. But unfortunately in this day and age we are not immune to anything anymore.
