NE GOM - an area to watch??

#1 Postby caneman » Fri Aug 31, 2007 3:35 pm

Interesting in that the weather has been tropical like around here today with Low level clouds streaming thru and not much rain, thunder or lightning to go with it which is very unusual around here. Not to mention my wife has a headache and she asked me first thing if there was Low pressure in the area. I said nope. Then I look at the surface plot map and see a Low over North Florida. Checked some of the models and a couple slide it into the NE Gulf as something minimal. The FSU model as it sitting right off Tampa at 120 hours as what looks like a minimal TS. So something to watch just in case.

Its a dreary day with rain bands moving through all day. IF this moves south we may have trouble.
